Sunrise Point is a great place to watch the sunrise and get in some panoramic photos of the canyon. At sunrise, the park is still waking up, and you won’t run into long lines at the entrance gate. I’ve found this especially to be true in Utah where the sun shines off the rock giving it a brilliant red or orange glow.
I’m a strong believer that any National Park day trip should begin at sunrise.
